Modular and high-tech furniture is a trend for corporate spaces

Bold design and mobile charging table were some of the new solutions presented at Orgatec

Work table that allows you to charge your cell phone, windows that close automatically according to the position of the sun. This may seem like a thing of the future, but these are some of the trends for corporate spaces presented at the latest edition of Orgatec, the world’s leading corporate furniture fair held in Germany.

In addition to technological innovations and furniture with smart surfaces, corporate spaces with bold design to stimulate creativity and motivate employees are also on the rise.

Allied to this, manufacturers have invested a lot in comfort and ergonomics. The focus is on meeting personal needs and promoting health, as research points to the need for people to move more in the office, rather than spending much of the day sitting.

Flexibility and acoustics for well-being

In times of changing work culture, where employees have multiple tasks, environments need to be flexible, to allow better communication and quick layout changes, and without noise, to gain productivity.

Manufacturers presented modular furniture and intelligent concepts, which allow this flexibility and different combinations to adapt according to the company’s needs. Investment in acoustics is also a trend to allow better concentration and creativity of employees.

Orgatec takes place every two years in the city of Cologne, Germany. The next fair will be in 2018, between the 23rd and 27th of October. To learn more, visit the Orgatec website.
